The History of The 3DO Company

The 3DO CompanyA former Los Angeles Film School colleague, St.John Conlon, asked me to speak to his USC computer game class about the history of The 3DO Company. I had worked at its New World Computing division from 1997 through 2002 and so I knew much of the company’s history. However, I also contacted some of the people who worked at corporate, and they were kind enough to give me some insights. Here is my presentation

I am a video game producer who has worked at Activision, Disney, Cyberdreams, EduWare, The 3DO Company and the Spin Master toy company. I am currently a game design and production consultant, a game design instructor at ArtCenter College of Design, and co-creator of the Boy Scouts of America Game Design Merit Badge. At the 2014 Gamification World Congress in Barcelona, I was rated the 14th ranking "Gamification Guru" in social media.
